Peter joined Plasma Industries in February 2017. After performing research at the University of Leuven, he became project manager for world-leading industrial gases company Air Products, where he helped to start up semiconductor fabs for customers like Intel, Motorola and Philips.
At Pfizer, Peter established and implemented site master plans for production sites addressing growth, performance and quality improvements. He also turned around local and international aseptic filling, packaging and supply chain operations. Later at Zoetis, the spin-off of Pfizer’s animal health operations, he successfully led the setup of the global intercompany supply chain and logistics operations and distribution.
Peter is the Belgium Affiliate President of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering and serves on the board of several non-for-profit and for-profit organizations.
He holds a MSc in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, a Master in Management and Finance, a Lean Green Belt as well as several Business Degrees.
Raf oversees the Contract Development Manufacturing Organization Strategy (CDMO-Strategy), Customer Relations Management (CRM) and Product Development (PRD) departments. The CDMO-Strategy department looks mainly from a technical point of view at which strategy is best rolled out in the medium and long term. CRM focuses on the coordination of plasma and intermediate flows in close cooperation with existing and new customers. The PRD department focuses on Process Development and Product Support.
Raf joined the company in 2003 and built an in-depth knowledge of the fractionation processes, growing through different operational roles : Quality Engineer; Assistant Manager Production; Manager Production; and currently, Director Operations. Maximizing output for a variety of customers (European-US) with a multitude of plasma sources and combining this with increasing quality standards (up to FDA-approval for US-clients), has been his major challenge over the past 15 years.
Previously Raf worked as a supervisor in a sterile compounding and filling department (Schering-Plough, now MSD).
Raf holds an MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutical Services from the Catholic University of Leuven.
Dieter is responsible for all Quality and Regulatory activities at Plasma Industries. He has a long-standing track record in biotech and big pharma companies.
Before joining Plasma, Dieter worked as VP Operations at Celyad, where he was responsible for all process development, manufacturing, quality control and supply chain activities in EU and US.
He also acted as Director Manufacturing for TiGenix, as part of the team obtaining first approval of an Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product in Europe. Earlier, he oversaw the construction of a state-of-the-art commercial cell therapy facility and held various positions in the quality and supply chain organizations of Janssen Pharmaceutica (Belgium). As a graduate, he conducted research on microbial genetics at the University of Leuven.
Dieter holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven.
Steven acts as Supply Chain Manager at Plasma Industries since June 2017. Before joining Plasma Industries, Steven served Zoetis as Intercompany Supply & Logistics leader, managing intercompany product logistics flows worldwide. Before Zoetis, he served Pfizer for 14 years in different roles within the supply chain management field.
Steven holds a Bachelor in Business Management from the University College of UCLL Leuven and a Specialization in Integrated Logistics Management from the Odisee University College.
Caroline joined Plasma Industries as Manager Human Resources in March 2018.
After her graduation in 2007, Caroline worked as Consultant for Cross International, an HR services agency with offices in Belgium and Poland. In 2011 she joined Niscayah, where she started up the HR department from scratch. After the acquisition by Stanley Black & Decker, she worked on the integration and was part of the European Talent Management Team with a focus on Benelux and GALP. After a 6-month assignment with Carrefour, she joined Fike in 2014 to build the HR department for the European HQ and Sales Offices throughout Europe, and to support the change to a global matrix structure.
Caroline holds a Bachelor in Human Resources from the University College of UCCL Leuven.
Alain joined the company in 2000 as accountant. Later as Finance Assistant Manager, he implemented the internal reporting and the monthly closing systems. From 2003, he was also responsible for the financial monitoring of the construction of the new plant. In the function of Accounting Manager, he oversaw the accounting department and established a customer costing model.
Alain is Finance Manager at Plasma Industries since 2015, in which role he is responsible for financial reports and audits, the direct investment activities. He is also heavily involved in developing strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organization.
Alain holds a Bachelor in Tax and Accountancy Management from the University College of Namur-Liège-Luxembourg.
Servaas joined Plasma Industries in June 2018 and serves as Executive Lead Business Development, in which role he is responsible for stimulating profitable revenue growth through new client generation and stimulating new client development processes.
Previously, Servaas held functions in Belgium and China as Business Development Manager for various chemical and industrial manufacturing companies. In these positions he developed and managed sales and distribution networks covering East Asia.
Servaas holds an MA in Languages and a Master in Business Economics from the University of Antwerp and ULB Brussels.
Dieter oversees all manufacturing operations as well as maintenance activities at Prothya Brussels site. He is also responsible for EHS and facilities on the site.
Dieter joined the company in 2021. Before joining Prothya Dieter held several operational positions in different industries and companies. He built an in-depth knowledge of production processes, through different operational roles : Logistic Engineer; Production engineer, Production Supervisor; Manager Production; Operations Manager, Director of production and currently, Director Operations. At these different levels he has experience in adapting organizations to changing volumes, increasing plant capacities, implementing operational excellence.
Dieter holds an MSc in Bio-engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven.
